Holiday Countdown #4: Clever Stocking Stuffers

Stocking (iStock Photo) We've already talked about the panic of holiday shopping, but while you're scampering about frantically buying things for under the tree, don't forget the Christmas stockings. Here's holiday tip #4:

You don't have to spend a lot to fill a Christmas stocking with plenty of fun. I have a neighbor who fills her kids' stockings with toiletries - and I found it pretty funny, back when they were in kindergarten. What 5-year-old gets excited about toothpaste? But now that my kids are in college and beyond, toiletries are a pretty terrific thing to stick in a stocking. Well, that and wasabi gumballs, a pair of holiday boxers or socks (which have the added bonus of being colorful *and* taking up a lot of space), and some very silly sticky notes. Here's some stocking stuffer inspiration. The toiletries are up to you.
