I ran across the most charming list the other day of 101 things kids should do before they graduate from college. It was Stanford-centric, as befits a list popping up in a Stanford Alumni magazine, including things like "Join in the midnight Dead Week Primal Scream," "Dance at the Mausoleum party" and "Get kissed at Full Moon on the Quad," a rite of passage for all freshmen, I'm told. Ahhh, college.
But others were things every kid should do during his college tenure at least once - learn the college cheer, hear an a cappella concert, meet a Nobel Laureate, play intra-mural innertube water polo, and my personal favorite, "Determine permanently and irrevocably the precise meaning of life." A few decades ago, that list would probably have included swallowing goldfish, wearing raccoon coats and getting pinned! So, what's on your child's list? What should be?
