You'll need:
- 2 yards of fleece fabric
- 2 yards of fleece in a complementary color or pattern
- A rotary cutter or sewing shears
Using a rotary cutter and a cutting mat with printed measurements makes this project significantly easier and faster. You can use either two different fleece fabrics - coordinating plaids or two solid colors, such as a light gray and a heathery blue or bright red - or two pieces of identical fabric. The blanket pictured above used a soft, creamy shade purchased on sale, so the entire project cost $16. (And you can use any leftover fabric scraps to make a DIY fleece rug.)
